World number one Novak Djokovic completed another sensational turnaround against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the 2021 French Open on Sunday as he won the match 6-7 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 to seal his second title ever at Roland Garros.

After losing the first two sets, the Serbian looked like he had lost his way in the match before he roared back and took control of the match by winning the next two sets to force a fifth set. He raced to a 4-0 set in the fifth set before Tsitsipas battled hard, but it ultimately ended 6-4 to Djokovic, who secured his 19th Grand Slam title, which puts him only one behind the leading duo of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, both of whom have 20 apiece. It was his first time ever of coming from two sets down to win a Grand Slam final.

Djokovic’s win over Tsitsipas ensured that the Serb became the first man in the Open Era to complete the Grand Slam twice as he has won all four Grand Slams at least twice in his career. He has also won both the Masters 1000 and ATP Finals at least twice in a remarkable career.
